Slow Cooker Cheesy Pork Chops
If you don’t know yet, I like to cook with the slow cooker/crock pot more in the warmer months than the colder months. Why, you ask? Well, it doesn’t heat up the kitchen. I need the kitchen heated up when it’s cold, not hot.
I had some thin cut pork chops on hand. I normally fry them. This time, I thought ahead of the game and decided to cook them in the slow cooker. Since they’re so thin, it doesn’t take long. You can take these out to thaw in the morning and have them ready by dinner. Only 3 hours in the slow cooker.
Another bonus. You only need 3 ingredients. The pork chops themselves, cheddar cheese soup and some milk. If you would like to add some seasoning, go for it. I didn’t while it was cooking. Afterwards, all I used was pepper. Condensed soup tends to be high in the sodium department, so I typically don’t add additional salt to it.
These turned out so tender, you only need a fork to eat with. How’s that for some tender pork chops?
Have you ever eaten a pork chop you didn’t need a knife to cut or your teeth to tear into?
