Ham and Swiss Egg Rolls
I’m at it again! Making egg rolls. I can’t seem to get enough of these. They’re easy and different. I get sick of the same ole same ole recipes. That’s where these egg rolls come in handy. In less than fifteen minutes, you can be eating these suckahs! In fact, I was on the phone the whole time, from the prep to my mouth.
Egg rolls make great appetizers and even better snacks if you’re askin. I eat these for my lunch sometimes. And they have less calories than bread. I did fry these, so if you want even healthier, you might consider baking them. It can be done. Did you know that one egg roll wrapper has approximately 12 grams of carbs. There are 14 grams of carbs in each slice of bread that I have on hand. That would be 28 grams if I made a sandwich. Just sayin’.
These are one of the simpliest egg rolls I’ve made. Chopped ham and a slice of swiss cheese. Then the egg roll wrapper of course. I decided to try and dip them in a few things just to see how they tasted. I tried mayo, mustard and ranch dressing. I’m not a huge fan of mustard, so I’ll say that that was the one I liked the least. The winner in my mouth was the ranch dressing, surprisingly enough.
You could go ahead and put some inside the egg roll if you’re feeling adventurous. If you don’t like ranch, then may I suggest making them like I did and trying different dressings or sauces to see which you like the best.
Do you get sick of making and eating the same ole thing all the time?
