Crockpot Tater Tot Casserole
I took my Cheesy Sausage and Tater Tot Casserole and instead of cooking this in the oven, I cooked it in the crockpot. This way, no heating up my kitchen. And with the hotter days here I don’t want to heat my house up more than it already is.
The day I chose to make this I knew I would be so busy and by the time dinner came around, way too tired to make anything. I was expecting my daughter and her 5 kids later that day and my Mom was in town visiting. So, I needed to have something good to eat, easy to make and easy on me when dinner time rolled around. This worked out great. Everyone loved it.
The meal only took 10 minutes to throw together. Then 2 1/2 hours to cook. If you’ll be around the house, you can start this at any time and then just let it warm the rest of the time. I started mine around 11:30am and then turned the heat to the warm setting till dinnertime, which was around 7:00 that night. All I did was stir it occasionally.
All you need is some frozen tater tots, cheddar cheese soup, corn, milk and turkey sausage. You could throw some extra shredded cheese on top right before serving. As you stir it the tater tots will break up, making this all mix up perfectly.
Do you like no heat meals during the summer time?
