I wasn’t sure about this recipe when I found it.  I found it in The Better Homes and Garden New Cook Book.  I changed it up a little, of course. I LOVED these, believe it or not. I ate them as a snack. I really don’t like making too many recipes that I haven’t tried yet if I’m planning on serving at a party or get together.  What if it’s a flop?  I will make these again!  For sure!

I think a big factor in making these is how the bacon cooks and if the cheese is melting too fast.  If the cheese melts and the bacon isn’t done, then you may not end up with the “cheesy” part.  If that happens, may I suggest you make some cheese dip…cuz that would be awesome.

Another cool thing about these….10 minutes to prep, 13 minutes to cook. BA BAM!  Love these recipes that don’t take very long, yet still taste oh so yummy in my tummy.

What do you need for these?  3 ingredients. That’s it! It’s all in the title. Tortillas, Cheese and Bacon.

Would you use these for an appetizer or snack?

Rock on!

Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 425°
  2. Lay out tortilla. Place about 5 cubes or so of Velveeta cheese down the center.

  3. Roll up tortilla first by folding in half. Then roll starting from the folded side.
  4. Wrap 1 or 2 slices of bacon around the tortilla. I made 3 tortillas with 1 slice and 3 with 2 slices so you could see. I prefer the 2 slices. If you need to secure these, use toothpicks.

  5. Place on foil covered cookie sheet.
  6. Bake @ 425° for 10 minutes, then flip and cook another 3 minutes. If you need to cook longer after the flip, only go 2 minutes at a time. That bacon can get ahead of you.

About Bobbi

I love to cook and create dishes. I get inspired by other dishes and think of what I can do to make it different. You'll find that I like to keep my posts brief so you can see what you came to see....the recipe. I don't like looking for hard to find ingredients, so most of what you need to make my dishes are common ingredients. I take shortcuts most of the time but you will still find "from scratch" recipes here. I'm like pretty much everyone else and have time constraints here and there. But it's all still yummy in the end!!! My favorite foods are peanut butter, bananas, pumpkin and white chocolate. In other words, you will probably see more desserts than anything else.
