CrochetPatternII

In my last post, I covered the basics of reading a crochet pattern. I will include the abbreviations again just in case you need to refresh your memory like I usually do. Add Character to Your Bookcase

Add Character to Your Bookcase Sometimes we have limited expenses to spend on furnishings and are forced to buy something less than ideal.  For me, my less than ideal furnishing was a couple of cheap Walmart bookcases in black.  The bookcases come in a box ready to assemble.  The assembly isn’t hard and it comes with all the necessary hardware, tools, and directions.  I, however, added a step in the assembly process; fabric

Great Smelling Home

To freshen your while house fast when it’s too cold to open the windows, place a couple of drops of vanilla extract on your furnace’s filter.  Your house’s heating system will do the rest of the work.   **Use another smelly extract if you don’t like vanilla.

Sponge Disinfection

Wash them in the utensil compartment of your dishwasher once a week with your dishes.   **Some people will microwave them to kill the bacteria. I wouldn’t go longer than 15 seconds at first until I knew what it will do to the sponge. Be careful doing it this way, you could burn your sponge.  Make sure you have dampened the sponge first. I’ve done this :/

Mirror Makeover

For a unique cleaner for the mirrors around the house, use aerosol air freshener.  it will bring your mirrors to a glossy shine and will have people wondering where that scent is coming from. You will have clean, shiny, glossy mirrors.

Cleaning Painted Walls FI

What’s the easiest way to remove crayon, pencil, ink, and furniture scuffs from painted surfaces? Just sprinkle baking soda on a damp sponge, rub clean, and rinse.

New Jeans Cure

QUICK TIP Wash them in vinegar! Why? It will remove their stiffness and make sure they stay color-fast. Just throw them in the wash with 10 fluid ounces of vinegar ad your usual amount of soap.  And feel free to add other clothes too!! Rock on! `Bobbi

Want to learn how to crochet online? My mother passed on her passion for crocheting to me. We don’t live in the same city, so I didn’t have much time to learn a whole lot.
